　おいおい、面白過ぎでしょう……！

　読み終わっての、嘘偽りのない心からの感想が正にこれ。ガチバトルあり、友情あり、そして驚きの展開あり、トドメとばかりに最後の大盛り上がりあり――！
　55巻なんてところまでくると、凡庸な漫画なら中だるみしてもおかしくないというのにこの展開は何なんですか、読んでいる私を燃え殺させる気ですか！？ここまでの物語の積み重ね、それがあっての展開だけにもう読んでいてテンションが上がるったら！
　ルフィ、エース、ドラゴンという面子の、派手ではないものの確かにそこにあると傍目にも分かる家族愛が良かったです。でも、やはり極めつけは巻末に向かってのあまりに「アツい」その盛り上がりぶり、久しぶりに「少年誌らしい展開」を見たと思いました。
　キャラそれぞれに目的がある意思がある、何より曲げられぬ信念がある。それがルフィを筆頭に劇中率直に示されて、それにうたれ心ふるわせ感極まるのはキャラも読者も変わらない。「色んな意味で止まりません!!!!」と形容されたルフィ達、読者の続きが気になる気持ちもそれに勝るとも劣らずなのは間違いなし。次巻、本当に期待です！

ストーリー漫画で10年以上も続けば、その歴史にはいろいろなキャラクターたちが登場している。
ONEPIECEにももちろん様々なキャラクターたちが登場しているのだが、

この５５巻ではその懐かしい（！？）キャラクターたちがさまざまな個所で登場し、
再度ストーリーを盛り上げてくれている。

最初からこの流れを想定していたのかどうかは定かではないが、
長い間ファンを続けていた人には嬉しいサービスなのではないかと思う。

長期連載になるにつれ、当初はバトル漫画でもなかったのに、いつの間にかコミック一冊延々バトルを繰り返す。そういう少年マンガって非常に多いと思います。
このマンガもオーズ・モりア戦までは非常にバトルが長かったと思います（それでも十分面白かったですが）。
今巻でも、別にマゼラン戦でおなじみの必殺技を繰り返し、大ゴマ連発すればそれだけでコミック一冊いけたと思います。それでも『ワンピース』ということでガッツリ売れ続けていくでしょう。しかしそうしなかった。その事に単純に感心しました。最近では適度、というよりあえて限界までバトルシーンを削っているように思えます。

溢れ出るアイデアを惜しげなく、可能な限り一冊（一話）に詰め込み、怒涛の展開・衝撃の事実・新たな謎が次々に繰り広げられ、最終巻は一体いつになるのか見当も付かないほど壮大で、話の全てが一本の線でつながっていく（ような気がする）ストーリーに心ワシづかみ。です。
