Seventy-six masterworks from the 3,500 prints in the Spencer Albums, assembled in Paris 300 years ago by French art dealers, Jean and Pierre-Jean Mariette. The collection has survived to today in nearperfect condition. Kept in the country home of the Earls Spencer, the prints were mounted on fine French paper in red leather volumes with goldtooled bindings. Includes Italian, Dutch and Flemish printmakers the complete graphic works of Jacques Callot, Stefano della Bella, Jusepe de Ribera, Giovanni Benedetto Castiglione and Adriaen van Ostade.
