少々マニアックな内容であるが、豊富な構造式・反応式の配置で英文をいちいち読まずに内容の概要をとらえることのできる“読者に対する優しさ”がこの本にはある。また、豊富な引用文献の記載も、研究の実践上は大変役に立つ（同様な指摘は、Royal Society of Chemistry の Chemical Communications 誌にもされていた）。専門家向けではあるが、大変有益な書である。
