北米版は、国内で保障を受けれないので故障した場合に購入から１年未満でも
有償修理となります。
付属のACアダプタは、INPUT 110V , 120V対応と書かれていたため、日本の100Vに
対応したものを別途購入して使ってます。
言語は、English , Francais , Espanolの３つから選択可能で、日本語未対応。
DSi Shopは、アメリカに繋がるようで英語版のOPERAがダウンロードして利用
出来ましたが、英語版ソフトなので当然日本語入力は出来ません。
ゲームも全て英語版のようで、日本語版のソフトをダウンロード出来ません。
system　updateにより、Ver 1.2U -> 1.4Uに更新出来ました。
日本のDSi専用ソフト、DSiウェアは、リージョン規制により起動出来ないようです。
DSソフトは、日本のが起動出来ます。

DQ9での確認したところ、以下全ての通信プレイが問題なく使えました。
ぼうけんのしょをWi-Fiつうしんでおくる。
ドラゴンクエストWi-Fiショッピング。すれちがい通信、マルチプレイ。

HORIのドラゴンクエストIX プロテクトケース DSiも装着して私は大満足してますが、
この色にこだわりがないかたは、日本語版の購入をおすすめします。

購入してから知ったのですが、北米版DSハードの国内での仕様は以下の通りですので
これから購入される方は気を付けた方が良いと思います。

北米版DSLite
　言語：日本語を含む6言語に対応。
　ソフト：リージョンは関係なし。すべて使用可能。
　ソフトウェアDL：対応する機能がない。
　保障：国内では無効。

北米版DSｉ
　言語：英語など3言語にのみ対応。日本語は非対応。
　ソフト：最近出たソフトはリージョン規制により使用不可。
　ソフトウェアＤＬ：国内では利用不可。
　保障：国内では無効。

つまり、この本体ではドラクエ9でクエストのダウンロードやwi-fiショッピングを楽しんだり、
ポケモンでイベント系のポケモンを受け取ることができないということです。
