An excellent review of Nikon DSLR technology and the evolution of their cameras. It doesn't, however, cover their most current models. It describes and explains the technology behind their cameras and helps you understand which camera may be best for your needs. All be it dry reading, it's a great way to better understand the inner workings of a digital camera. Nikon cameras are pricey as you get into more sophisticated bodies and lenses, so it pays to know what you want and what you're getting. The book is well organized and easy to understand if you're just starting out. I want to be a better photographer so I bought this book. I also got a great deal on it through Amazon which encouraged me to buy it. Gotta love that:)!!

I am a nikon fanactic and collect all books about their systems, lenses,lighting etc. I was so looking forward to this book. However due to it's publication date there was no information on the D$ & d800 ! I sent it back for a refund. However if and when it's updated I will purchase it again!
