This lens is superb. It is a great medium telephoto lens for portraits and landscapes and also an excellent macro lens with a 1:1 reproduction ratio. The lens is very sharp at all focal lengths. AF is fast and accurate. The addition of VR stabilization assists when the lens is used as a medium telephoto lens. Bokeh is very attractive. I use this lens on my D700 and get great results.
