D80＆D700で使用しています。

大きく重い(高価な)レンズですが、ナノクリスタルコートとVRの威力は素晴らし
いです。D80よりも総重量が増しますが、D700に使用した方が好バランスでした。

昆虫や植物の近接撮影していて、ふと上空を見上げたら...飛行船が飛んでいる！
以前、当方がフィールドで実際に遭遇したシチュエーションであります。
勿論、どちらの被写体も同レンズにて大変美しく撮影する事が出来ました。

上記のような例は稀かもしれませんが、VR付の望遠マクロで助かった！正にそん
な感じでありました。マクロ撮影の際は、単焦点レンズ特有の被写界深度の浅さ
でボケ具合も良い感じです。

光のボケが丸でなくラグビーボール型になる等の記事を書籍のレビューで拝読し
た事がありましたが、IFなのでレンズの長さも変わらないし、マニュアルでのピ
ント合わせもAF設定のままで行えるのは純正の利点とはいえ実に有り難いです。

個人的にマクロレンズが好きなので、これ以外にタムロンの銘玉90mm f2.8他、数
本のマクロレンズを所有しておりますが、このレンズは細かい理屈抜きでお気に入
りの1本です。

描写についてはカリカリとまではいかないが必要十分な解像感がある。
しかし、開放絞りでは口径蝕が大きく出てしまうため背景処理に気を使う必要あり。
（口径蝕は１段程度絞り込むことで解消）

絞り込む必要があるという点では不利ではあるが、手ぶれ補正機能がある為
被写体が動体でなければ弱点を十分カバーできる。
（円形絞りなので、多少絞り込んでもボケは綺麗）

使っていて不便に感じたのは、AF時のフォーカス動作範囲。
「無限遠〜50cm」と「無限遠〜最短撮影距離(Full)」がスイッチで
切り替え可能だが、個人的には「50cm〜最短撮影距離」が欲しかった。

個人的にはフォーカス位置に関係なくレンズの全長に変化が無いことと、
「無限遠〜50cm」で使用すれば高速なAFと手ぶれ補正の効果で非常に
使いやすい。

マイクロレンズと言うよりも便利な中望遠としてポートレートあたりに
使うのが良いと思う。

最後に、このレンズはやや大きく重いので軽いボディを使っている方は注意してください。

さすがＮＩＫＯＲのレンズ群の一員である。

初心・中級クラスまで、極めて使い易いと
思われる。
撮影結果のボケの表現も抜群だと感じている。

手元の必需品として、長く愛用したい。
