   本体内部に窒素ガスを充填したアウトドアでも安心な本格的な防水仕様。見掛け視界が65.6°(8x)、65.0°(10x)の広視界タイプ。接眼目当てに扱いやすいターンスライド方式を採用。2軸折りたたみ方式の小型・軽量タイプなので、携帯に便利。スポーツ観戦、旅行、アウトドアなどにおすすめ。

ダハプリズム式
   正立プリズムにダハ(ドイツ語で、「屋根」という意味)プリズムを使用した双眼鏡。接眼・対物レンズの光軸が一直線に設計できるため、小型で軽量。

CF式(センターフォーカス/中央繰出し式)
   中央のピントリングを回すと左右同時にピント合わせができるため、操作性に優れている。

多層膜コーティング
   明るさを左右するレンズコーティング。中でも多層膜コーティングが施されたものは、光の損失が極めて少ないため、より鮮明な視界が得られる。

広視界タイプ
   見掛視界が65゜以上ある双眼鏡。動きの激しいスポーツ観戦やバードウォッチングなどに便利。同じ倍率でも、より広い実視界が得られる。

防水型
   本体内部に窒素ガスを充填。風雨や飛沫で漏れても、光学系の内部に曇りやカビなどが生じにくくなっている。ただし水中での使用はできない。

ラバーコート
   ボディーをラバーでおおったタイプで、耐衝撃性に優れている。また、手にしっくりとなじみ、持ちやすくなっている。

　４年生の息子が、野鳥の会主催の観察会に参加するため、双眼鏡が必要になり、購入することにしました。会の先生に「２万〜３万円はする。」と言われたためネットで探しました。思いのほか安くて驚きました。注文したら、次の日には届いてまたまた驚きました。
　斬新で、軽快な感じのデザインが気に入りました。ニコンのレンズは文句なしです。ただ、小学生の野鳥観測には１０倍よりも８倍が使い安いと思いました。

　某お買い物雑誌でコストパフォーマンス一位にもなったことがあるニコン製、軽量防水型双眼鏡の普及版シリーズ。８倍と10倍があります。折りたたんだときの携帯性は乾電池を使うデジカメと同程度です。写真の通りスタイリッシュで、目へのフィット感、手に持った高級感もなかなかのものです。

　一般論ですが、競馬やモータースポーツなど動きの激しいスポーツ観戦には８倍が良いとされているようです。10倍は視野がやや狭いため追うのが難しく酔いやすい面もあります。多少の慣れが必要です。
　一方であまり動きのないものを見る分には10倍は十分すぎるほどの性能で、観光でちょっと遠くを見たりするときには細部までしっかりとらえることができます。具体的には200ｍ先の車のナンバープレートが、数字部分は読み取れるくらいです。

　双方メリットがあるので倍率の数字ではなく、用途で選んでみてはいかがでしょうか。
