総評：『木根尚登プレゼンツ』とクレジットされたバラードベストですが、やはり一番売れてないですね。ですが3種類の色のアルバムの中で私はこれが一番好きですし、私の周りの評価も一番高かったように思います。キネバラの名曲だけではなく、小室哲哉のバラードも収録されています。#14は作詞が木根尚登、作曲はなんと宇都宮隆という、TM初の異色な組み合わせです。本来ならNights of the KnifeのB面に収録される予定でしたが、宇都宮隆の声の調子が悪かった為にこのアルバムでの収録となりました。詩の内容は木根尚登自身の書いた小説、「いつか逢える日に」のイメージが元となっています。アレンジをもう少しTMっぽくしてほしかったですね。ボーカルが相変わらず上手いです。

木根尚登さんによるバラード・セレクションはTMN名義で発売された2枚のオリジナルアルバムからの楽曲が一切収録されていないにも関わらず、良い選曲となっています。
シングル曲は「GIRL」だけですが、アルバム収録曲もなかなかです。
特にこのアルバムのラストに収録されている「ANOTHER MEETING」は実は元々TMNのラストシングル「NIGHT OF THE KNIFE」のカップリングになるはずの曲でした。
僕にとっては「ANOTHER MEETING」が聴きたいがために買った一枚でした。

１４曲目のAnother meetingは、もともとは最後のシングル
Night's of the knifeのカップリングになる予定の曲でした。

　ＴＭのバラードにじっくりひたりたい方へお勧めのアルバムです。

当初、ラストシングルとカップリング予定だった楽曲を収録した木根セレクトのアルバム。最後の音源以外は面白みがないが最後という点で採点甘め。
