Agatha Christie was born in Torquay in 1890 and became, quite simply, the best-selling novelist in history. Her first novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles, written towards the end of the First World War, introduced us to Hercule Poirot, who was to become the most popular detective in crime fiction since Sherlock Holmes. She is known throughout the world as the Queen of Crime. Her books have sold over a billion copies in the English language and another billion in 100 foreign languages. She is the author of 80 crime novels and short story collections, 19 plays, and six novels under the name of Mary Westmacott.

私自身、だいぶ昔にカセットテープ（６本組）版を本商品の数倍の値段で
購入して現在も所持しているのすが、今回、取り扱いや収納に便利な
本商品を購入しました。
頑丈そうなプラスティックのケースの大きさは、
13.8 x 13.6 x 1.6 cmとありますように、音楽ＣＤのケース程度の大きさで厚みが少しある程度です。
ボックス型の２枚組のＣＤケースより薄いと思います。その中に６枚のＣＤが積み重ねて収納されていて
大変コンパクトです。
名探偵ポワロ Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989-) テレビシリーズで
ポアロを演じているDavid Suchetの一人での朗読ですが、
声に変化をつけて演じ分けておられるので、楽しく、
わかりやすいです。音楽や効果音は一切ありませんが私としては不足を感じません。
例えば、ハバード夫人の興奮して畳み掛けるような語りが印象的です。
アーバスノット大佐のセリフ部分で（1974年のイギリス映画『オリエント急行殺人事件』の）
ショーン・コネリーを連想してしまいます。
あらすじを知っていても、繰り返し楽しめる作品だと思い、
もしご興味のあられる方には、推薦させていただきます。
また、もし本書の英文テキストが欲しい場合は、
『オリエント急行殺人事件 [英語版ルビ訳付] 講談社ルビー・ブックス』ならば、辞書なしでラクに読めますので、

This version, as read by David Suchet, was amazing. He does all the voices with expertise and I greatly enjoyed the rendition. It sounds more like a radio drama than a simple reading.
