I've enjoyed all the Moodle books that I've read so far published by Packt. However, as an English teacher, I looked forward to Moodle 1.9: The English Teacher's Cookbook and all I that I could learn from it. I should have seen it as foreshadowing when in the "About the Author" section there were numerous grammar and mechanical errors. The errors continued and increased. In the first sample activity, the questions are poorly designed so that first, it's possible for more than one answer to be correct, and second, the sample "extra" answer is very obviously incorrect. Both of these aspects point to the sample activity as very poorly designed. The problems increased as I moved through the book. I cannot recommend a book on teaching English if the book itself doesn't demonstrate good English and logical teaching strategies.
