Halloweenの読み聞かせ用に購入。１ページに一言しか書いていないので、戸惑いました。でも、レベルに合わせて内容を変える事が出来るので、子供達には喜ばれます。毎回少しだけ言ってる内容が変わるのも楽しいようです。でも、お話を考えるのに時間がかかる可能性が大きく、語り手の負担が大きいという意味では、やや扱いにくい本です。

１ページに単語が一つ。イラストもその単語がよく分かるように描かれています。男の子がハロウィーンの仮装コンテストのポスターを見て"Look."。着替えに家まで走って"Run.""Home."。会場まで近道をして森の中に入り"Woods.""Dark."。恐くなって走り出し"Scared.""Run."。途中で転んで"Fall.""Mud."。何とかコンテスト会場にたどり着き"Enter."。優勝して"Hooray!"等、２歳４ヵ月の息子にも理解でき、ページをめくるたびに、その単語を口にします。

１ページに単語はひとつずつ。でも最後までページを進めていくと、お話になっています。男の子がHallooweenの仮装コンテストポスターを見て"Look."近道をして、森の中に入り込み"Wood.""Scared."恐くなり走り出し"Run."泥の中に転んで"Mud."最後にコンテストに優勝して"Hooray!"等、絵もその単語にぴったりなので、２歳４ヵ月の息子にも理解でき、ページをめくるたびに、その単語を口にしてます。
