Moleskin 18 Month Weekly 'Large' Planner- Red

This is my first Moleskine, and I have no intention of ever switching brands. Last year, I bought a planner from Office Max that had extremely thin pages, and drove me crazy the entire year; I adopted the method of using mini-Post It notes for each of my big events (so it wouldn't bleed through), which ended up being somewhat nice because I could easily move them... but a hassle nonetheless. The "large" planner is the perfect size--same as all of my other planners--and the same size as my Kindle, which I also bought a Treegloo cover for, resembling a Moleskin.
There is no wasted space on each page (like mini calendars), and Moleskin uses symbols and abbreviations to mark events (which again is nice because space is saved). The planner looks very professional when left open on my desk, and I love the red cover when it's closed. The only thing that I've found challenging is the hardcover binding doesn't allow for me to stuff a lot of cards/paperwork/receipts/letters/etc in the pages, so I'm limited to my stamps and some return address labels. I'm working on transitioning to saving all of that little paperwork on my computer, using a scanner, or sometimes just snapping a picture with my iPhone--but that's another review entirely.

I have used 18 month Moleskine planners before although not this version (I had the one with all 7 days on one side and a blank page on the other). I am absolutely IN LOVE with this hardcover, red weekly planner. The cover is hard but also has a soft feel which I really like. I don't feel like I'm holding a hardcover book at all yet it is very sturdy. There is a lot of room to write for each day because the days are spread across two pages (Monday - Wed on one side, Thursday-Sunday on the other with Sat/Sun split on the bottom). I have plenty of room to write appointments, reminders and other little notes to myself to help me stay organized.
There are cute stickers that come with this planner and a nice bonus section in the back that is great for creating an address book or making other lists and things to help you stay organized with big projects for work or school.
The only thing that I wish was different is that the month view was before the weekly view (ie, the month of July right before the July weekly pages). You do have to flip back because all of the monthly view pages are in the same place. You can easily use a post-it flag or something to mark the current month if it's something you know you'll use though. There are some other pages I won't ever use (the scheduler, etc because I am no longer in school) but if you're a doodler they make great doodle pages or you can add pictures and other little things to make the planner more personal.

it is great- has full page month long calendars as well as day by day pages.

This is an excellent value for what you get. it is 18 months, well laid out, and a great size. I would recommend this to anyone.
