The Moleskine Large Storyboard notebook is great for advertising creatives, graphic designers, filmmakers, and cartoonists. Each page consists of a sequence of storyboard frames with four frames per page, with room to write text to the right of each frame. Every Moleskine product is thread bound and has a cardboard bound cover with rounded corners, acid free paper, a bookmark, an elastic closure and an expandable inner pocket that contains the Moleskine history.

great concept

reading a review of the smaller storyboard book i opted to buy the large one. But the exact same problem exists, there should be 2 boxes per page, so you have enough space to skecth and write notes to yourself about each panel.
but instead there are 4 boxes per page, so each storyboard spot is about the size of a big half dollar, which is way way too small. 2 boxes per page and this book is amazing, 4 per page and its a waste of time

Obsolete before it was published

If you are a filmmaker or animator working in professional formats for the 21st century, this notebook offers you no useful tools. The storyboard boxes are ancient 4x3 with small ticks for today's 16x9. This was a very weird design decision by Moleskine and one wonders how it got through design reviews and product testing with real customers. A useful storyboard notebook would have 16x9 boxes with ticks for 4x3. To make it a truly superb storyboarding tool, some of the pages should have a grid superimposed over the boxes and there should be lined areas specifically for notes and shot descriptions.
Buy it if you simply must have the molie brand at your creative sessions and production meetings. Look elsewhere or just draw your own storyboard pages if you need a truly modern and useful tool.

Great for thumbnailing out a script

I draw comics for a living and have to thumbnail little drawings out before I get involved doing detailed work. This book is great for that sort of thing and I don't even have to worry about drawing my boxes out ahead of time. Since my thumbnails aren't precious I just write notes to myself in the margins. So: great sketchbook if you are a cartoonist. The paper's nice too.
