Every Moleskine product is thread bound and has a cardboard bound cover with rounded corners, acid free paper, a bookmark, an elastic closure and an expandable inner pocket that contains the Moleskine history.

I love Moleskine - especially the Large Reported notebook. However, I took a chance and tried the soft cover instead of my usual choice, the hard cover. It arrived quickly, was a great price, but I don't know if it was defected or sat on a shelf for a long period of time, because the quality of this notebook is horrible compared to my previous Moleskine purchases. It has a bent shape to it, and overall just looks bad. I thought I'd wait to see if it flattened out a little better after a week without the shrink wrap, but it still has a weird shape, and each page has a crease on it. I would have sent it back, but just not worth the hassle. Will definitely stick to hard cover Moleskine in the future.
