Microsoft Flight Simulatorのリアリティーに、空中戦の興奮が加わったエアコンバットシミュレータ。プレイヤーはイギリス軍(RAF)、ドイツ空軍(ルフトバッフェ)、アメリカ陸軍航空隊(USAAF)のいずれかの陣営に参加し、第二次世界大戦当時の戦いを再現する。また、天候や時刻の変更、指定した経緯度への異動が可能。「バトル オブ ブリテン」「ヨーロッパの戦い」から選択する「キャンペーン」、敵戦闘機との空中戦や対地攻撃を行う「ミッション」、上空からスタートし、直接戦闘に参加する「クイックコンバット」、西ヨーロッパ周辺をフライトする「フリーフライト」、「マルチプレイヤー」の5つのモードを用意。

今までエアコンバットゲームを多数プレイしてきましたが、離着陸ができるものがそんなにありませんでした。できるとしても、自動で着陸してしまったり、離陸もパワーをあげると離陸したりするもが多いような気がします。しかし、これはフライトシュミレータをベースに作られているようで、計器などもリアルに再現されていますし、離着陸もフライトシュミレータのように楽しめます。フライトシュミレータの要素と戦闘が楽しめ、１本で２度おいしいソフトです。

ペンネーム「プロペラ-人」

プロペラ飛行機が大好き！！。特に複葉機が好きで好きで！　FC98を買って「スパッド」「セスナ」を楽しんでいましたがショップでソフト「アドリア海の嵐」を見つけて、即、購入しましたが慣れてくるに従い景色がピンとこずストレスが溜まってきてついにCFS2を購入、機体・景色・操縦性共にGoodでも手持ちの「アドリア海の嵐」は動作できません。FC98では操縦出来ても景色が伴いませんそこで、日本橋詣でをし探してみてもCFSが見つからず、また中古ソフトでも見つからずネットでも見つからず諦めてました。人間好きなことには執着するもので、Amazonのサイトで検索したところ、ありました-ありました。2003年6月19日発売予定とあり予定日以降に購入し、毎晩、複葉機・スピットファイヤーメッサーシュミットを操りユーロの空を駈けてます。CFS2に比べると操縦面で若干不満があるが、FC98よりはGOOD!GOOD！GOOD!である。最後にエレクトニック・アーツ(株)にお礼申し上げます
