アルバム制作に至った経過など全く知らずに二人の名前だけで手に入れたアルバムですが、これは素晴らしいとしか言いようのないアルバムですね。
キューバ、ブラジル音楽界二人の重鎮のコラボレートというだけでも凄いのですが、音のほうも充分期待に応えてくれました。決してお若いとは言えないお二人ですが、しょっぱなからシンプルなバックに乗せた歳を感じさせないヴォーカルにハッとさせられました。歌の持つ魅力、パワーって本来こういうものですよね？
普段HM/HRと呼ばれる音楽を主食（？）にしている自分なのですが、ワールド・ミュージックと呼ばれる世界中の音楽にも興味しんしんでありまして、その中でもこういうスペイン、ポルトガル語圏の音楽には、なぜか心惹かれてしまいます。使い捨て（聴き捨て？）の音楽が氾濫している現代にこそ、聴いて頂きたい音楽だと思います。若い頃にはピンと来なくても、いつの日かきっと、こういう美しい音楽に感動する日が訪れる事でしょう。そういうアルバムです。
DVDにはレコーディング風景などの映像が39分ほど収められていて、スペイン語、ポルトガル語、英語の字幕が選択できます。映像までは必要ない！ と思われる方は、CDのみのアルバムもありますので、そちらをどうぞ。
どうか、国内盤の発売を望みたいアルバムですね。
