Like all Eyewhitness books, this one is full of information and great photos. We have a large collection of these books and look forward to enjoying them for years to come.

I really love these DK books and the Eyewitness series in general. The photos are amazing and the books are very approachable for kids. It's pretty clear that the authors/publisher operate with the presupposition of evolution as a given... that's my only knock. I wish there was just a little more parity & fairness given to intelligent design or at least lay it out there as a possible/plausible alternative - especially when it comes to kids books. Presenting only one theory (that's what they are - theories since none of us can prove 100%) is not what education/exploration/eyewitness is about. Fun books popping with color and delicious facts make these books a staple in our home.
