まず、写真が豊富です。螺旋階段の作り方や萱葺き屋根の作り方（！）などのマニアな事例が、初心者にもわかりやすいように写真で説明してあるのが親切です。また写真を見ているだけで自分が作ったような気になって楽しめたりもします。
掲載されている作品は、非常にイギリス的なドールハウスが多く、作り方を紹介する写真以外にも、インテリアの参考になるような写真もたくさんあります。
日常の小物を上手にアレンジする方法は、結構目からウロコ状態でした。
自分の手で凝ったドールハウスを作ってみたい方にお勧めです。

How To Make Your Dolls' House Special

This book shows how to make many aspects of a dollhouse better than just the plain finishing techniques included with a kit. It is written so that even a relatively new dollhouse builder can use the techniques and hints included. It covers all aspects of the finishing touches needed to take your dollhouse from the basic wooden frame to a nicely finished treasure.

An Excellent resource book.

This book is a great resource book. It is loaded with tips that can save you time and costly mistakes. The information contained in this book is adaptable to kit houses and from scratch. Well written and set up. I would highly reccommend.

Well laid out, modern, clear, lots of nice photos

I have this book out of the local library and highly recommend it. I am not a dolls' house/miniaturist, but I have larger scale fashion dolls and the like, and was looking for ideas of what to make for them.
I like that the layout of this book is so clear and open. There is a lot of white space, which makes the text easier to read. If one had one's own copy, it also means that there is room for notes such as where one might purchase some of the materials, or costs, or the like. I especially liked the sections about making kitchens, stairways, and roofing. Very highly recommended especially to the beginner who may be intimidated by the incredible detail and diversity of this hobby.
