広告にはSLC使用、SeqRで100MB/Sとありますが、
中身は高速でも接続がZIF(PATA)なので
実際の速度はMLCタイプの公称値と大差ありません。
それでもCrystalDiskMark2.2で元の1.8inHDDと比較してみると

HDDに比べてフラッシュが苦手とするSeqWに至るまで
全項目でHDDより高速になりました。
SLCには速度以外にも長寿命でプチフリーズが起きにくいという利点があり、
その利点に値打ちを見出せるのであればお勧めできます。

富士通LOOX U/B50 に使用しました。
通常の1.8 HDDでwin VISTA環境ですと動作が遅すぎるのですが、
SSDにして、win XPにしたところ快適に動くようになりました。
ところが、３ヶ月してフリーズ下と思ったら故障してしまった。
BIOS上では認識しているが、容量が16MB しかない
またUSB変換コネクタで接続して確認すると、０MBとなる。
オークションで購入したが、MTRON自体　メーカ直の修理受付は
しないと回答があり、販売店経由しか受付しないので、
怪しい情報を元に製造元韓国のとある販売店へ郵送したけど
その後の対応が見えない状態です。
故障する情報がいくつかありますが、万が一を考え
購入するときは、国内販売店のほうが良いと思われます。

SONYのVAIO typeU(VGN-UX50)につけてみました。
1.8インチのHDDは一般的にすごく遅く、以前のVAIOもHDDアクセスが止まらなくなり
こんなパソコンは使えないと思ってしばらく放置しておりました。

で、最近SSDが安くなったので物は試しとHDDをSSDに入れ替えてみましたが・・・

見違えるようなキビキビとした動作で、これは・・・ツカエル！！


VGN-UX50は、現役モバイルパソコンに復活です。


MSD-PATA3018032-ZIF2(MSD-PATA3018-032ZIF2？)は、SLCタイプのSSDなので、
一般的なMLCタイプと比較して長寿命、プチフリも発生しません。

東芝1.8インチ ZIFタイプのHDDを使ってるパソコンで遅くて買い換えようかな、
でも、捨てたくないな・・・
と思うような方は一度これを試してみてはいかがでしょうか。


そうそう、パソコンのHDDからSSDへ交換は、
一般的にメーカー保証対象外となることをお忘れなく。
