BEATLESの音楽は本当にいつ聴いても色褪せず、新鮮です。彼らの様々な楽曲の断片がRemixされていますね。私が素直に思ったことは、どんな形になったとしても、良い曲は良いんですね〜。初めは買おうかどうしようか迷っていましたが、今は買って良かったと思います、素直に。

源氏物語やシェークスピアの戯曲など偉大な作品というのは、あらゆる訳や、様々な変形そして演出といったものを全て受けとめて、いろんなバリエーションを楽しませてくれる大きさを持っています。この"LOVE"を聞いて、ビートルズもその域にまで達している音楽なのだと改めて思いました。とっても楽しいです。
僕は久しぶりのせいか、"I Want To Hold Your Hand"がいいなーと思いました。音も詞もすごくシンプルなのに、恋する気持ちがいっぱい伝わってくるのです。こんなに気持ちが伝わってくるなんてスゴイと思って、初期のアルバムを聞きなおすことになりました！ 聞く人によって、いろいろな楽しみ方ができるってことでしょうね。
ただ、ビートルズの本質追求型の人には向かないだろうと思います。「ロメオとジュリエット」でも、原文に忠実な演出のものじゃないと面白さが無いという方もおられます。ビートルズの大きさを楽しめるかどうか、好き嫌いはそこが分かれ目だろうと思いました。

このアルバムに収録されている
Strawberry Fields ForeverがFMでオンエアされていました。
感想としては思ったよりも悪くはなかったです。
なお、ビートルズの日本オフィシャルホームページでは
（2006年11月現在）4曲ほどフルで試聴ができるようになっています。

私もファンになってから、
すでに２０年以上経ちますがすでに
リアルタイムでビートルズを体験していなかった
世代であったはずなのに、解散後も
これほど数多くの新作をリリースしてくれることに
対して私は素直に喜びたいと思います。

ビートルズの音源に対してなんらか手を加えることに
対して反論など多いとは思いますが、
でもよくよく考えてみれば、現役時代・解散後を問わず
いろいろと手を加えたものは、本人たちの意向ではなくても
すでにリリースされており、それらはファンを楽しませて
くれていると思います。

さて今回の作品のなかのStrawberry Fields Foreverですが、
ジョンのカウントからスタートして
そこからビートルズアンソロジー２に収録されている
DISC２のデモシークエンスのようなもの
（つまりジョンのギターの弾き語り）
そして正規バージョンにならなかったTAKE１がミックスされ
さらに正規バージョンで採用されている
TAKE7とTAKE25が次々に重なってミックスされていました。

ファンの方ならよくご存知だと思いますが、２つの異なる
キーとスピードを調整するために
正規バージョンではTAKE25のテープスピードが落ちた状態で
ミックスされているため、ジョンの声がかなり低い感じの
ものになっていますが、その違和感が解消されていました。

音質もかなり向上していたのでやはりオリジナルアルバムの
高音質化を早く期待したいところですね。
