　このアルバムは、悪くはないですよ。最近、以前から持っていたアルバム『Our Time in Eden』を、出してきて聴いていたら、もっと彼らの曲を聴きたくなって、このアルバムを探し当てたんですけど、私は気に入りましたね。

　バックの演奏は、前からの延長線上にありながら、よりポップで落ち着いたサウンドプロダクションがなされています。個性的なクオリティーは、その分少し後退してしまいましたが、逆に音楽に広がりが出たと言えるでしょう。CD NOWのカスタマレビューにも書いてありましたが、以前からのマニアックスのファンには、同じグループ名の下に、このアルバムが発表されたことが、不運なのかもしれません。

　新しい女性ボーカル（兼ヴァイオリニスト）Mary Ramseyは、しなやかで伸び伸びと歌っており、決して通俗的な歌い手ではありません。彼女の声には、やさしい包容力があり、このアルバムのサウンドに、とても合っています。

ロキシーミュージックの「モア・ザン・ディス」をうまくカバーしていたのでぽんちゃん買ってみたのだ。
新人バンドと思ってたら、81年からのベテランバンド＋新ヴォーカリストだったのだ。
アコースティックを中心に丁寧に練られた手作りのサウンドに伸びのある声が絡んで
すごく良質的な音楽を鳴らしているのだ。
ぽんちゃんのお気に入りは＃２、３、５、７、10、11なのだ。
昔からのファンの方は新ヴォーカリストに違和感が多少なりともあるかもしれないので
ぽんちゃんみたいに過去を全く知らない人の方が楽しめるかもしれないのだ。
とてもいいアルバムなのだ。

紅一点ボーカル、ナタリー・マーチャントの代わりにメアリー・ラムジーを迎えての初のレコーディング。でも、ちょっとまてよ。10,000マニアックスって、ナタリーのバンドじゃなかったの？

クリッシー・ハインドのいないプリテンダーズ、デビー･ハリーのいないブロンディ、マリア・マッキーのいないローン・ジャスティスが想像できないように、ナタリーのいないマニアックスなんて想像できない。
ソロになって今ひとつぱっとしないナタリー。でも僕にとってのマニアックスはナタリーの歌声であって、迷わずソロのナタリーを買ってしまいました。
