Great guide book!

I am glad I took this book to Vancouver with me. The maps and information were very good and seemed to be truly informed by a local. Of course, that is what we all want to aspire to in a guide book - local expertise, and this book seems to deliver. I also had the Fodor's book from the library with me, very good too.

Good starting point for your city exploration

We purchased this before a trip to Vancouver and Whistler. First day in town we did the Gastown pub crawl, and highly recommend it. Good selection of bars and nice description of all the places on the tour. The included tear out map was good, but not great - we ended up using the free one available all over town instead. Coverage of outlying areas was better than I expected - we ended up using some of the recommendations in both Squamish and Whistler.
