This book had information on getting around Panama efficiently and proved to help plan a very successful vacation. It could really use more maps and the maps could use better detail.

LP covered Panama well, I generally like LP books and am very familiar with format, which makes it easy to find stuff. I started using LP books about 15 years ago though, so on this last trip I realized that I've grown out of my backpacking phase. It's generally a great book, but really basic and for the budget backpacker. Somewhat opinionated (which is needed at times) I guess I was looking for a more sophisticated approach. If you keep buying the same type of travel books, you'll keep getting the same type of experience info.
