I took this phrasebook along with me to Korea earlier this year. Sure, there are free podcasts, instruction guides online, phrase lists, etc...but nothing puts it into the most compact, useful and travel-friendly sense as the LP Phrasebook does - it is small enough to fit inside a coat pocket, pants pocket, purse, and so forth. Even though I tried to study up on Korean beforehand, this was a life-saver, especially when you go outside Seoul and the likelihood of finding English speakers dramatically dips.
It stays very well-focused on the topics you'll need - eating out/food, shopping, hospitality and tourism attractions. The phrasebuilder is especially good, since English and Korean have very different sentence structures. Of course, along with buying this, I would invest at least a little time learning to pronounce Korean characters - or nobody will have any idea what you're saying!
