本作に関しては、全く同じコンサートを収録した同名のＤＶＤを求めるべきでしょう。他のレビュアーが指摘されているように、ボスの全コンサートがＣＤ２枚で収まるはずがありません。ＤＶＤですら２枚組みなのです。そのＤＶＤでは本ＣＤ収録の全曲の他に、裏通り、闇に吠える街、ライト・オブ・デイ、ザ・プロミス、そして涙のサンダーロードといった名曲を５たっぷり味わうことができます。もっとも、ＤＶＤでもプロミスト・ランドが入っておらず特典映像でほんの少し出てくるだけなのですから、この時のボスのコンサートがいかにエネルギッシュで長時間だったかがわかります。そして、バッド・ランド、表通りにとびだして、凍てついた十番街が立て続けに演奏され、コンサートのハイライトであったことに気づくでしょう。それなのに本ＣＤでは、収録時間の都合のせいでしょうか、間に明日なき暴走を挟み、凍てついた十番街の方はディスク２のトップに持ってきています。その結果、流れが分断されています。やはりＤＶＤでなければこの流れ・興奮は再現できなかったのでしょう。もちろん、本ＣＤの演奏はどの曲も非常に充実しており、ＣＤでも十分価値があると思いますが、映像はもちろんサラウンドの音も楽しめること、及び上記の点を考慮すると、同名のＤＶＤを求めることを私は薦めます。

いつも思うのだが、CD時代になってちょっとがんばればコンサート全体の収録が可能に
なったのに、どうしてこういう中途半端な収録内容のライブアルバムがでるのだろうか。
BRUCEの場合、コンサート全体はCD２枚には収まらない。
だからこのコンサートもフォーマットはCD３枚組としてニューヨーク全公演からのベスト
テイク寄せ集めて１コンサート再現の形にしてほしかった。
演奏そのものは再結成ツアーの集大成みたいな感じで非常にメンバーがノリにノッた
ライブを行っているだけに本当に惜しい。
このCDはヒット曲だけ選りすぐったみたいな選曲になっているが、落とされた曲も聴きたいのだ。
紙ジャケはELPの「レディース~」みたいな造りでLP３枚を収める形になっている。
内袋も３枚きちんと入っているが真っ赤な袋が３枚入っているだけでありがたみ薄い。
また帯はSony初期の帯を意識して上付け帯として造られているみたいだが、
なんとなくジャケットと合っていない。
文句ばかり言ったがこれはBRUCE並びにSONYに対する期待が高いから。
特にSONYは良心的に紙ジャケ造ってくれているのは理解しているので、応援エールだと思って欲しい。

　もっと気軽に、頻繁にブルースのライブがＣＤやＤＶＤで楽しめればいいと思う。エルヴィスに接近した「トンネル・オブ・ラブ」ツアーや、Ｅストリート・バンド解散後のメンバーと共にしたツアー、弾き語りのシングルツアーなど、正式版の音源や映像をフルで見てみたいとずっと思ってきた。その意味で本アルバムは、今後に期待を持たせる決定版となった。聞き物は「ランド・オブ・ホープ・アンド・ドリームス」。歌詞の内容を含めて、ブルースやバンドの歴史を語っているようで感涙ものである。「アメリカン・スキン (41ショッツ)」も彼が常にアメリカ社会の有り様から目を離さないという典型だ。バンド再結成のクライマックスということで、演奏の確かさ、ノリの良さ、観客の興奮を考えれば出来れば３枚組でもよかったが、ＤＶＤとあわせて楽しみたい。
