内容はもちろん文句なし。リージョンフリーでした。国内版価格が高すぎるんで私は輸入盤を購入。

気がついてみれば、Stevie単独のオフィシャルな映像というのは意外と少ない。
この作品は2時間以上にわたり2008年10月のコンサートを収録している。
内容は申し分ない。ライブに足を運ぶ場合、アーティストがいかに“鉄板曲”を持っているか、というのが、そのライヴを楽しめるかどうかを左右する場合がありますよね。
その点、Stevieはそれこそ誰でも知ってる“鉄板曲”の宝庫。
長いキャリアの中で本当にヒット曲の多い人ですから。
「Stevieのコンサートに行ったらこの曲を聴かなきゃ帰れない！」みたいなのが山ほどありますよね。
それらを惜しみなく披露してくれています。しかも世知辛いこのご時世、総勢14名のバンドを率いて。因みにBassのNathan Wattsは70年代からStevieのバンドに在籍していますよね。
おなじみの曲に加え、収録されたロンドンの地にちなみ、ビートルズやストーンズの曲も演奏しています。
又、オープニングはMilesのAll Blues。さらにChick CoreaのSpainも聴かせてくれ、各メンバーのソロに加え、Stevie自身もピアノソロを弾いています。
My Cherie Amour では観客の大合唱、観客も本当に楽しんでいるようです。
Isn't She Lovely では観客がIsn't She Lovely!と歌ってるとき、当の本人、Aishaが映し出され少し照れたように微笑んでいます。そう、Stevieの愛娘Aishaがコーラスで参加、
I'm Gonna Laugh You Right out of My Lifeではその歌声を聞かせてくれています。
Stevie wonder ファンならずとも一度は聴いたことのある曲ばかり、輸入版は値段も手ごろですし手に入れても絶対に損のない一枚かと思われます。

ふと、スティービーワンダーのライブ版が気になって、購入しました。
実際に鑑賞してびっくり
驚くほど、音質がいい。音の広がり、力強さとっても良いです。また、画質も素晴らしいです。
スティビーワンダーをこれほどまで、画面で見たことがなかったのと、彼の歌を直に聞いて、その声の伸びに感動しました。
また、ラストの曲は気分が最高超に達するでしょう。
お薦めです。
