How they find their true colors again concludes a wonderfully satisfying story told with colorful pieces of torn paper and very few words. This classic tale of friendship also offers a playful introduction to color concepts.

著者について

Leo Lionni, an internationally known designer, illustrator, and graphic artist, was born in Holland and lived in Italy until he came to the United States in 1939. He was the recipient of the 1984 American Institute of Graphic Arts Gold Medal and was honored posthumously in 2007 with the Society of Illustrators’ Lifetime Achievement Award. His picture books are distinguished by their enduring moral themes, graphic simplicity and brilliant use of collage, and include four Caldecott Honor Books: Inch by Inch, Frederick, Swimmy, and Alexander and the Wind-Up Mouse. Hailed as “a master of the simple fable” by the Chicago Tribune, he died in 1999 at the age of 89.

英語の文章を理解する順序がわかりやすく、子供にもどんな話しなのかわかりやすく、

This has been a favorite book in my house since my boys were little. Now I choose it to give as a baby gift to all my young friends. I like that it comes in board book form now, too. It is a cute story and is an introduction to colors and how they mix to create new colors. It is also a story about friendship. Simply and beautifully written, and I love how the illustrations are simply torn paper. I just love this book, and so do my children.
