Rare is the debut that displays such fully formed talent as Iceland's Sugarcubes' first album. Highlighted by the Cocteau Twins-influenced single "Birthday," two other provocative singles, "Deus" and "Coldsweat," and by the incredible vocal gymnastics of Bjrk Gudmundsdottir, Life's Too Good brilliantly shows a new band staking out its own sonic space. Einar Orn contributes an electronically reprocessed trumpet, and a few awkwardly charming and ranting vocals as well, but this is clearly Bjrk's show. Her vocal range is staggering. このシュガーキューブスのアルバムには、
「ビョークがいたアイスランドのインディーバンド」の作品という以上の音楽的おもしろさがある。
５人編成のバンドは一体化していて、ビョークのバックバンド的存在ではない。
そのなかでビョークは、彼女でしかない例の歌唱をどの曲でも聴かせてくれるし、
楽曲も十分にビョーク的。
ビョークは嫌いじゃないけれども、ときどき、個性的すぎると感じているような人には
ギター＋ベース＋ドラムスという通常のロック＆ポップの形式の中で展開する
シュガーキューブスの音楽の方が、聴きやすく、親しみやすいかもしれない。
日本盤には、歌詞・対訳と、宮子氏による適確な解説が付いている。
その前に、ほとんど存在意義のないロッキンな人の短い文章がある。

this albub is Okay, I guess i can say it was good in over all. i bought this CD about 5 or 6 years ago because i was so into Bjork so that made me sart to buy all of her works including these her early ones. this album is sort of typical 80`s alternative Rock (ofcourse is has iceland geer in it), however, it didn't remind me of "the Bjork that" i expected. if you are thinking about buying this just because you like Bjork and all of her old albums or expect her former band is similer to her current work, this might not be the one you are looking for. Yet, as i said, it is still fun album. it is just a bit too much pop and rock geer in it. i personally like her works that is composed by her alone.

if you like bijork , you can discover her great sense more and more from this CD.. motor crush , this song will give you some enargy. I can not find any store this CD.. but we can get on web site . I like that this ..
