Rosie Harrison Clark lives 6 miles south of Choteau, Montana on 130 acres with her husband Earl, three horses, a llama, a parrot, a dog, a cat and a dozen sheep. They own and operate Country Rose Antiques. When she isn't busy acquiring merchandise for the store - which can include everything from old tractor parts to fine cut glass - she occasionally finds time to write and paint. A fourth generation Californian, her roots run deep in Southern California history. She grew up in and around the ocean; surfing, swimming, fishing and riding horses by the sea.

There are not to many characters like Whitey anymore. I enjoyed reading about the early days of surfing, commerical fishing and outrigger paddling. I've experienced all three and reading about the early years was great ! Great stories

I have purchased this book many times to give it away. It is written by Whitey Harrison's daughter and I was blessed to know her. My dream is that this story will be a movie someday. Her story is well written and touches your heart. You will love this book.
