This is the second tome of the anthology. The entire anthology is broken up into separate volumes. This means no more back-breaking textbooks to be toting back and forth to and from school.
Once again, the publishers have done a good job of putting it together. It's colorful and engaging, with a word intro section first so that readers can become more familiar with the important words of the text. (Great for word walls!)
Next, it's followed by a pre-reading story in which readers can practice the new words in context.
Finally, there is the main story, which is often written by popular authors. It also includes an author biography, also written in appropriate level text, so that young readers can learn more about the person who wrote the story they read. Some of the stories are fiction, others are nonfiction.
It's clear, colorful, engaging and a valuable resource. Recommended.
