His portrayal of the 'Wild South', as he describes this domain, is presented in a manner that is in harmony with the author's independent spirit that found deep inspiration in a challenging and exciting land. Michael Callender currently spends his time between his home in Provence and Africa. He is married to Vivienne and has a son and daughter (deceased). His first book "Roaming with a rifle" was published in America.
