Book Description
A retired teacher, an old man dying in an alley and an HIV-infected addict: three characters interpret their lives from intersecting perspectives in Lamentos Borincanos, a novel set in contemporary Puerto Rico. Given the reality the characters share, the only possibilities are disease, madness and death.
About the Author
J. Delgado-Figueroa has taught linguistics and literature at the universities of Minnesota, Puerto Rico and South Carolina. Besides books on education, computer technology and communication theory, he has written the novels Mr. Doppler Is Survived by Those Who Loved Him, Tropical Snow, Susan and Her Elders, and Salome Rie Mejor.
