I bought the SC1040 steam cleaner a few weeks ago, to clean up my apartment.
When I started cleaning, I realised that the apartment kitchen floor was too dirty for the standard brushes.
I bought these metal brushes, and they work really well. I have cleaned a VERY dirty large kitchen floor with these, and the floor is now basically perfect. I would advise using water, mixed with washing up liquid as an agent to speed things up, if the surface you are cleaning is very dirty.
In terms of quality, they do last a fair while, but after a while they start shedding brass wires, which can be very sharp, so be careful.
I would definitely buy these again.
