本書の特徴は、医師ではなく、理学療法士が書いた本だということ。各関節の解剖や運動学の記述は、まさに理学療法士が知りたかった知識を集約していると言ってよい。例えば、距骨下関節について、荷重位と非荷重位では、どのように動きが異なるのか詳細に説明している。四肢に比べて脊柱の記述に物足りなさを感じるが、関節運動学の入門書としてなら本当にイチオシ！

邦書の関節運動学では不十分な方はにはぜひお勧めです。関節運動学といっても筋の作用とかも邦書では載っていないことが載っており、更なる知識を深めることができます。でもこれ1冊あれば関節運動学が完璧というわけではないので、他の本と併用して用いればよりパワーアップだと思われます。少し図が少なくて文章が多いのが難点かもしれません。
