著者について
Trevor Legget rose to the rank of fourth dan in shogi. For many years he was the head of Japanese-language broadcast for the BBC, and was the compiler and translator of A First Zen Reader, A Second Zen Reader, and the author of Zen and the Ways.

A little too short and misses some information on the game but it's awesome for starters, to learn a new game, and it's easy to understand

I did not like this book. I got it for my kindle. It told me almost nothing that I already found online and it didn't tell me any of the rules strait out like it should have. Save you money and just google Shogi.

This is an easily portable book, and well-laid out with introductory moves of the pieces. You will find more complex information on master level games, as well. Check around, though. Other volumes are more highly recommended, and I like having it in my games library.
