4.0 out of 5 stars マニュアル保存やコピー同人誌に向いてる, 2008/7/7
簡易製本機。
最近の家電や情報機器はPDFによるマニュアル配布も当たり前のようになり、これを印刷する機会も増えた。
Ａ４で出力した用紙をクリップでとめただけで保存するのは数が多くなると美しくない。
かといってバインダーなどを使うとかさばる。
そこで、束ねた用紙の背の部分を接着剤で固め、製本のような仕上げにすることが出来ればどうだろう。
その点「とじ太くん」はまったく簡単だ（ブルワーカーっぽく）。

製本には別売の専用カバー（1.5mm〜30mm）を使用する。このカバーにはあらかじめ固形接着剤が塗られており、この部分が対象となる用紙の束の背の部分を覆う。
形を整えたら機器にセットし、スイッチを入れる。
加熱された接着剤が融解し、用紙の束の背の部分にくっつく。やがて冷却され、しっかりと固着されるという仕組みだ。
その所要時間わずが３分。

ちなみにとじ太くん2000型（製造終了？）は24mm、5000型は54mmまで対応可能。
必要な書類を必要な冊数だけ臨機応変に製本できるから、無駄がないし外注製本の必要がなくなるから経済的。
急なコピー誌をちょっと飾りたい場合にもこうしたアイテムを使うと効果的かと。

とじ太君３０００を購入したが、実に手軽できれいに、且つ安価に製本が出来る。
Ａ５版約６０頁の俳句集を作っているが、全て自分で出来るのが嬉しい。
パソコンとプリンターで中身を印刷し、別売のＡ５サイズ表紙カバー挟み、とじ太君に入れる。
余熱１分、製本約１分で出来上がりだ。中とじだが、しっかり接着されており、剥がれる心配はない。
優れものだ。

本体は意外と写真より重厚感がないのですが、本の仕上がりは上出来です！
表紙もデザインして製本したものを、何も言わずに知人に見せたら自分で製本したとは気づきませんでした。
他社の類似品の方が、専用背表紙が安そうだったので迷いましたが、他社製品には無いヨコ向きの背表紙や豪華装丁版の背表紙もでているので、購入時の目的以外にも色々と使えそうで楽しみです。


唯一不便なのは、普通の背表紙が同一サイズ１０枚組からしか買えないことです。
製本する内容によってページ数もまちまちだと思いますが、背表紙の厚みより多すぎると製本できず、少なすぎると仕上がりがおかしいので、何種類かの厚みの背表紙を１０枚ずつ注文することになります。

近い厚みを３枚ずつ取り合わせたパックなどがあればいいのにと思います。


★専用カバークリアホワイトについて

表面のクリアカバーは透明度は高く、一枚目に表紙をデザインすれば綺麗に引き立ててくれます。
安もののファイルみたいなくすんだ透明ではないです。

背・裏面の白紙は光沢を期待していましたが、ウ〜ン　　光沢紙の３分の１くらいの光沢といった感じです。コート紙くらい？
でも、おもて面が綺麗なので意外とトータルで安っぽくはなりませんでした。
