Took a step backward this year

I have been buying the Islands Page A Day calendar for quite a few years. The pictures are great and I have saved every year since the first time I bought them.
Starting with the 2012, the paper is now thinner and more flimsy than previous years. The pictures are still very good. But the thinner paper bends much easier when pulling pages out and reinserting in the back. Also, if you want to keep select days (pictures) out they don't hang flat on the wall for long. Not a huge deal. But it's disappointing to see something that was a very good product becoming cheap and flimsy.

Love this calendar!

I think this is the 4th year I have had this desk calendar. I got it as a gift the first time, and loved it so much that I ordered it again subsequent years. Each day has a beautiful photograph of a lovely beach/island somewhere on this big planet. It has a nice holder and is easy to use... it's a daily ritual to get to see my new beach each day. I recommend it to all fellow ocean/beach/island lovers!

Took a turn for the worse

I, like a lot of other dissatisfied reviewers, have been getting these page-a-day calendars from the same company year after year. Specifically, I was impressed with the thick paper and the sharp, bright images. This year, it seems as though the company has decided to cheapen their product by using thinner paper. While it wouldn't be so bad if there were 313 pages (365 days, but weekends are on the same page), but there are 157 pages, so when day 1 is done, you take it, and move it to the back. This used to be easy to do one-handed because of the thickness of the paper. Now I'm afraid I'll bend the paper! Also, the printing is not as crisp. I know these might sound like silly complaints, but when you constantly give a company money for a higher-quality product, then they stop doing what you pay for, it's like a slap in the face. Sadly, unless something changes, this will be my last calendar with this company.
