Investing in Japan: an introduction to Japanese real estate business and practices offers a great deal of information for non-Japanese investors, particularly those involved in J-REITs and buying office buildings. The book covers taxes, appraisals, zoning and leasing, among other topics.
If you are looking for help buying a home, a recreational property or an income property, you will find some useful information in this book. But Investing in Japan is not written for individual buyers or small investors.

This is a well written book that points anybody interested in buying property in Japan in the right direction. Contact info of pertinent people are given in the front of the book so that you can contact them if you have more questions.
