A bar-room brawl at a country inn causes the destruction of a priceless relic and the heroes are responsible. Now they must chase down a host of ancient artifacts, lost in a haunted wood, to repay their debt. While the heroes search for the items to clear their name, another group of scoundrels plots their downfall from the depths of the mysterious forest. Only one group will emerge victorious.

This fun little module is geared for level 1 characters. Pretty much the Player characters visit a tavern, a fight breaks out and mayhem ensues. To resolve a problem the PC's have to undertake a quest and... well that's a surprise so I wont say further. After completing things PC's should reach level 2. This adventure should be completed within one or two gaming sessions (depending on how long you actually can play per session). DM's can use the pathfinder campaign setting or any campaign setting for that matter that has a
1) a tavern
2) some forest
3) a cave in the forest
4) a rural area to put these places in so that the PC's are on their own doing this adventure.
It is set to the 3.5 D&D rules but is easily adaptable to the Pathfinder RPG rules which are based on 3.5. It would not take much effort to convert this module to Castles and Crusades Game rules or whatever game the DM desires as its dealing with pretty much low level bread and butter monsters detailed in many different RPG monster guides. All in all its a simple and fun little module to start a campaign with.

I really can't say enough to the quality of this module. It's simple, includes equal shares of role-playing and tactical combat, and it's dangerous enough to a fresh party of new PCs. There's laughs, there's serious tones, and there's one hell of a battle to climax everything!
I really enjoyed using this module to fire the back stories for my players. It's the quick one-level adventure that will tell your players how the rest of your sessions might go. We managed to fit this into a lengthy session (four to six hours at a lazy pace with snack breaks). Just buy it -- for the price you can't go wrong!
