It both describes and interprets events since 1945 for an undergraduate audience. While focusing on political change, careful attention is paid to the evolution of the global economy and the interplay between international and domestic developments, as well as to the growth of 'interdependence'. I had to read sections of this for uni and was happy to find an history textbook that was not only informative, but easy to read and very well laid out. Worth the buy for students and those wanting to bone up on their history knowledge alike.
