「the HIATUS」が新作を緊急リリース決定!

5月27日に発売された1stアルバム「Trash We’d Love」(FLCF-4281)で多くの音楽ファンに衝撃を与えた「the HIATUS」が新作をリリース。アルバムはオリコン初登場1位を獲得し、発売直後から行われた全国21箇所でのツアーに加え、大型ロックフェスにも多数出演し大きな反響を得る。さらに9月からスタートした初のワンマンツアー(全国のZEPP、6箇所12公演+追加2公演)ではその新作の一部をすでに発表しているが、今作の発売日11/18からは「ストレイテナー」とのツーマンツアー「BRAIN ECLIPSE TOUR」(横浜BLITZを皮切りに福岡・大阪・名古屋 ・仙台・札幌のZEPPと新木場STUDIO COASTまで全国7箇所公演)をスタートと、精力的に活動していきます。

実験的に様々な要素を詰め込んだと言う通り,これまでのキャッチーでメロディアスな楽曲群とは,全く肌触りの異なった３曲が収録されている。

物悲しくも,壮大に響き渡るストリングスが印象的な１曲目。
セリフの配列と複雑なリズムによって,変幻自在さを見せる２曲目。
浮遊的でダウナーなイントロから,祝祭的なラストへと向かう過程にカタルシスを秘めた３曲目。

「静かな狂乱」とでも形容すべきドラマチックな曲展開と,そこに並ぶ“運命なんか吐き捨ててやる”“もう嘘をつくのは疲れたんだ”といった悲痛で退廃的な歌詞との間に,ドクンドクンと聴く者の血液を静かに波打たせるような「ポスト/グラムロック」の要素を奇跡的な配分で取り入れた,珠玉の３曲。

前回のアルバムとは
ガラリと変わった作品

しかしながら、
この作品のクオリティーは
半端ではない!

特にタイトル曲の
Insomniaは傑作で
ストリングスとロックの
調和が素晴らしい

細美さんの声も
かすれているせいか
切なさをより一層
感じられると思う

ここ最近は洋楽ばかり
聴いていたわたしにも
とてもよく合う作品でした

日本のロックも
ここまできた!
まずは聴け!!

Insomnia

細美武士の声は
掠れていて悲痛に、
美しくストリングスと
共鳴している。


隙間のない音楽
密度が高い。

この人達は一体どこまで表現力を増していくのだろうか。

HIATUSを聞かずして
ロックを語ることは出来ないと確信した


何回も何回も繰り返し、染み込んでくる声、切り裂いてくれる何もかも。


日々に刺激がなく
変動をもたらしたい
人に是非聞いてほしい


他2曲もエモーショナル、歌詞もかなりダーク。どこか中毒性がある。


2曲目の微妙なアクセントをつけた歌い方の部分はクセになる
