著者について

Angelika Taschen studied art history and German literature in Heidelberg, gaining her doctorate in 1986. Working for TASCHEN since 1987, she has published numerous titles on architecture, photography, design, contemporary art, interiors, and travel. Deidi von Schaewen, who has lived in Paris for thirty years, is a contributor to a range of international periodicals and a filmmaker, and has published numerous books. Her publications with TASCHEN include Indian Interiors, Fantasy Worlds, Gardens of Provence, and Inside Africa.

洋書だーなんて構える必要はありません、なぜならページを開けば写真、次も写真とほとんど写真集に近づく勢いの本です。私が見る限りこの本はインドのマハラジャしか思い浮かばないほどインテリアや建物など豪華で非常に美しいと思います。いい意味でトリップなるものができるような気がします。インドに興味のある方、インテリアに興味のある方、洋書が初めての方などおすすめします。本のサイズは縦20センチ、横15センチ、ソフトカバータイプです。

思っていたよりも、
サイズが大きいと感じました。

見開き写真が沢山あるので、
細部まで楽しめました。

どの写真も美しくて、
いつか旅したい方には
行き先候補地が増えるはずです。

年月を重ねて朽ちてゆく
造形美がお好きな方には
特におススメ。

眺めているだけでたのしい。

Before buying this book, I suggest you click around on the "look inside this book" feature.

I suspect you will agree - this book is filled with beautiful, intriguing stories & photos of all sorts of homes, furniture, buildings, etc from India, Nepal, and Bangladesh.

I'm not really sure how to classify this book, but it has lots of great home, decoration, and furniture ideas. It's mostly a photo book, but it also has some stories and quotes. This is also an inspirational source for painting & colors, or just anyone interested in learning more about the far East.

When Indian Style arrived (on time and in excellent condition) I was a little disappointed in its size (8"x5"). But aside from that, it was what it said it was, an overview of home decor from the Indian sub-continent. The photographs were clear, closeup views of traditional-style homes owned by affluent and more modest families. No modern sky-scraper apartments were included or expected. I enjoyed the book and may try my own version of a painted wall that I saw here. So perhaps the book is big enough.
