ファーストアルバム収録曲も３曲ありどれもがアレンジが全く違う。全体的にテンポが遅く、後のデビューアルバムのあのスピード感は感じられないが、これにはこの時代独特のロックバンドがいる。彼らには珍しくレゲエっぽいのや古いブルースっぽいのもあり、それがまた新鮮なんです。

音はさすがに悪いし演奏も下手だが、これはこれでガレージでの密かな楽しみみたいでいいんじゃないだろうか。
しかし値段が現在発売中のオリジナルアルバムより高いのは頂けないよ。

永遠のカリスマ・バンド、ルースターズの超初期音源！リスペクト･アルバム第2弾もリリースされ、ますます神格化されつつある彼等の初期音源は、大ファンの私にとっては公式リリースしてもらえるだけで有難いです。人気が無ければデビュー前の音源なんてリリースされませんからね…。さすがにサウンドは荒いですが、やはり只ならぬ雰囲気に溢れていて味わい深いものがあります。79年にこんなサウンドを奏でていれば、嫌でも注目されますよね…というサウンドです。“カッコいい”と思うサウンドは人それぞれでしょうが、ガレージ系のロックがお好きな方は聴いて損は無い1枚だと思います。

ルースターズのデビュー以前の音源が聞ける貴重盤。ファーストやセカンドのパブロック、ブリティッシュビートの雰囲気が好きな人にはたまらない作品であるが、演奏が雑で、曲のテンポも遅く魅力を感じることができない人がいるかもしれない。しかし、ここには完成されてないルースターズの本物の魅力がある気がする。ブルース、ブギ、ブリティッシュビート、レゲエ、パンクを独自に消化し、ルースターズにしか作れないとっぽい世界感がこの時点で完成されていることにはとても驚かされる。スリムハーポ、チャックベリーの日本語カバー収録。
