If Fred Carvell's "Human Relations in Business" is not considered a classic, it most certainly should be. Though not as well known as Peter Drucker or Douglas McGregor, his insights as to what motivates workers to achieve superlative performance are nevertheless highly relevant, and today's Leaders are well-served by studying his observations and ideas. Highly meaningful for both the leadership tyro and the seasoned veteran, the principles presented are timeless. Definitely not a leadership "fad of the day."
