Easy Read -- Seductive Arguments

Carolyn Davis' "how to" book reads like a novel. I am having a great time reading it and getting to know her. The first page had the "grabber" for me when she talked about one of her college professors helping her to realize that the quality of a particular piece of writing could seduce a person into agreeing with the author's argument. It is a great thought.

Carolyn Davis wrote for Writing and Publishing: The Librarian's Handbook, and also Contemporary American Women: Our Defining Passages that I edited. How to Write Persuasively Today (Writing Today) gives the reader a longer look at her writing style that always fits her topic. Carolyn knows how the writer must adapt to their audience and this books addresses the topic well.
