中身を見て「洋書ってなんて素敵なの？」って感動したことを覚えています。
１冊丸ごと沢山のお部屋が載っています。
私は表紙のインテリアが大好きですが、色々なスタイルが載っているので
インテリア好きの人は１冊持っているといいと思います。

洋書店で買ってから、何度も何度も眺めた本です。
当時はAMAZONもなく、6千円以上はしたでしょうか。

特に何かのスタイルにこだわっているわけではなく、
モダンあり、カントリーあり、色々です。
後ろのほうには新築のこじんまりとした家や、
古いschoolhouseをリノベートして住んでいるお宅の様子
なども載っています。
若干古めかしいところもありますが、
時を経てなお、色褪せない一冊だと思います。

いろいろなスタイルの部屋が、バラエティに富んで掲載されているのが長所だと思います。
ざっとまんべんなく、色々なスタイルに目を通し、勉強になります。
そんなに難しくない英語なので、英語部分をよく読んでみたら
壁の色と家具の色のコーディネイトの仕方など、参考になる話が書かれています。
本全体が、インテリアの基本の見本を見るようで、参考になります。
外国人の方には、こういうインテリアは古いと言ったり、独創性がないと言う方がいらっしゃるようですが
やはり基本は肝心だと思います。
そして、日本人にはまだまだ、夢の部屋／夢のお家だと思います。
