Animal lovers looking for an unusual pet will be fascinated by the things this manual reveals about hedgehogs. Books in the Complete Pet Owner's Manuals series present basic information for new or soon-to-be owners. Advice and instruction covers feeding, housing, health care, training, grooming, and much more. Texts emphasize pet care basics and are easy for all readers to understand. All books in this series are filled with high quality full-color photos and instructive line drawings. Length averages between 64 and 104 pages.
I don't know where to start. This book recommends activities that I consider to be catastrophically bad for hedgehogs, like keeping them on cedar shavings, which can cause respiratory failure. I just can't recommend.

I would not reccommend this book to anyone! A lot of the information was wrong and completely inaccurate! A good book to get about hedgehogs is The Hedgehog - An Owners Guide to a Happy Healthy Pet. Written by David Wrobel with Susan A. Brown, D.V.M.
This book is filled with lots of helpful info!

An odd and shoddy piece of work2010/2/23

We picked this up at the pet store along with our new hedgehog. We adore the hedgehog, but not the book. Oddly organized, internally inconsistent, not much of a "manual" at all.
