   アルバムと同名のビートルズ初主演映画のサントラ盤として、64年7月にリリースされたサードアルバム。全曲レノン＝マッカートニーのオリジナルで構成された唯一のアルバムでもある。

1枚目、2枚目を聴いても感じるけど、初期のビートルズは完全にジョンのバンドだったんだなって思う。ポールも勿論素晴らしい曲を書いてはいるけど、まだまだ若さを感じる。ジョンは最初から完璧に完成されている。このバランスはサージェント・ペッパーあたりで完全に変わってしまうけど。このアルバムでは、ジョンのソングライター、シンガーとしての才能が円熟の境地に達している。特にＢ面の曲はどれも素晴らしい。この後ジョンは自分の心情を吐露するような曲を数多く書くようになるし、次のアルバムでビートルズのサウンドも少し変化し始める。純粋なラブソングの弾けるようなロックンロールをやった最後のビートルズのアルバムかな。

初めて高校生の頃、聴いた時はビックリして毎日聴いていました。音楽を聴いて本当にワクワクする感覚は、このアルバムが教えてくれました。

まさに、怖いものなしの初期ビートルズの絶頂期の象徴でしょう。やはり、ここではジョンが素晴らしい。才能というのはこういうもんだと思う。特にこの頃のジョンの写真を見ると、人間の１番いい顔がどんなものか判る。憧れずにはいられない。
　今、聴いても４０年近く前の作品とは思えないほど、颯爽とした名曲揃い。
必ず聴いて欲しい名作です。

A Hard Day's Night のイントロが堪らないですね。ホントに素晴らしい。
この頃のビートルズは、若さが溢れていて、みんな仲が良さそうで安心して聴いていられますね。ジョンの曲が多く、ジョンがグループを引っ張っていた印象を受けます。
A Hard Day's Night もそうですけどCan't　Buy　Me　Love　などポールとジョンが一緒に歌っていて、当時はどっちがジョンでどっちがポールかわからない、などと言われてました。
ポールとジョンが一緒に歌っている、ビートルズの４人が楽しそうに演奏している。

でも、もう二度と聴けないんだなぁと思うと涙がこぼれました。
