I love book-making books and own many of them. This book is okay but not amongst the best. The instructions are clear and there are very good full-color photographs accompanying them. However, this is the sort of book that has very specific projects outlined. For instance, in the "supplies" section of each project, the things listed even include colors, specific rubber stamps, etc. that were used in the author's exact decorative book shown. I can't understand why ANYONE would bother to make something homemade if they were trying to make a replica of someone else's idea. Naturally, one can just use the instructions for how to put the books together and ignore the rest of it, and I hope everyone who reads this will do so. Otherwise you may as well just buy something in a craft gallery or on Etsy -- I think you get zero credit for creativity if you copy this person's ideas.
Some books I recommend instead: How to Make Books by Esther K. Smith, and Expressive Handmade Books by Alisa Golden.
