個人的には福山さんの曲としてはHeavenやGangが好きだ。このような曲の登場によって彼は新たな可能性を示したと思っていた。今回のカバーアルバムも福山さんの「多様さ」を実感させる曲選択になっている。彼自身による曲解説も興味深い。いろんな曲から勉強しそれを活かしている。トップ・ミュージシャンであっても日ごろの努力の積み重ねが大事なんだろう。聴いてみると福山さんが歌うとまだ違った魅力をもった曲として「生まれ変わっている」ことに正直驚いてしまう。多くのリスナーがもった感想ではないかと思う。今の世代の若者が知らない曲でも福山雅治によって蘇る。80万枚を越すセールスになったようだが、それ自体は驚きにあたらないだろう。是非多くの方に聴いてもらいたい。そして「お嫁においで」を歌おう。もちろんすべての曲が素晴らしい。

もはやこのアルバムはカバーの域を超えていると思う。
小学生の頃、ベストテンの常連だった楽曲が満載で、しかもそれが全然古臭くなくかっこよく仕上がっている。
｢勝手にしやがれ｣なんか、往年のジュリーファンには、ぜひ福山の歌ったこのボサノバのアレンジで、
もう一度大人のジュリーに歌って欲しいと思わずにはいられないほどの素晴らしい仕上がり。

選曲も長崎に居た頃のバンド小僧だった福山を髣髴させる憎いセレクト。個人的には男の歌う「秋桜」もいいなと思っているし、中島みゆきの｢ファイト｣も味のある仕上がりで、思わずカラオケのレパートリーに入れてしまった程です。
初めから福山の歌だったんじゃないかなとつい思ってしまうほど気合の感じられる作品です。

１曲目の出だしから鳥肌でした。久しぶりに、カバーも良いなぁーと
思いました。
最近、高音の歌い手が多いので、福山さんの低音がとても心地良いです。
もっと曲数が多くてもいい位、２枚組でも良かったのに・・
ぜひ聴いて下さい。
